Acadia CRC Mark Mallory’s Masters’ students get friendly with a common eider duck on Nova Scotia’s Eastern Shore

Canada Research Chair Mark Mallory studies the ecology and environmental stressors on Arctic and Maritime coastlines.  Molly Simon (MSc) is a native Nova Scotian who came to Acadia with a strong background and interest in coastal science.  Her Masters project examines marine birds and habitat change along the Eastern Shore Islands of Nova Scotia, and links to the long-term research in this area by the Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources, a key collaborator in the project. Amy Russell is a third year Co-op student in the Biology Department of Acadia.  For more information on Dr. Mallory’s programs, visit http://mallorylab.coffeecup.com/whatwedo.html
