Aerhyve Technologies is an innovative company that captures and analyzes high quality, multi-sensor data from Unmanned Aerial Vehicles for the use in the growing field of precision agriculture. With the development of machine learning algorithms for the detection of crop anomalies, they aim for targeted reduction of pesticides, herbicides and fungicides and corresponding increases of production yield through actionable data.
In this Tier II voucher, Acadia’s Dr. Danny Silver, School of Computer Science, and Director, Acadia Institute for Data Analytics, who has been working on machine learning projects for over 20 years, will work with Aerhyve Technologies to advance their ability to detect, identify and locate anomalies in field crops with the development of specialized machine learning models.
